EURAXESS bus shall be on the road as of March 2014 until June 2014.This is first announcement of the EURAXESS Road Show 2014 linking 21 countries, including Greece, Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina, with 29 events.

The aim of the campaign is to increase the awareness of the EURAXESS initiative among researchers (mainly R1 (Frist Stage Researcher up to the point of the PhD) + R2 (Recognised Researcher: PhD holders or equivalents who are not yet fully independent) in Europe, thus empowering them to enhance their careers. 

The key messages of the campaign are:

  • EURAXESS is the partner of the career development of a researcher;
  • European research and innovation contributes to growth and job creation;
  • To encourage young researchers to further invest in their career; 
  • To show the opportunities related to the research career especially jobs opportunities

The target audiences of the campaign are: 

  • 20 to 35 years-old students / young researchers (R1) in Member states where research is still suffering from a "loosing brilliant brains" and where young researchers need to be encouraged to further invest in their career;
  • HR specialists and career centres;
  • Policy makers at regional level

A selected contractor will be asked to develop and implement a road show campaign in universities in European countries according to the indicated table:  Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg and back to Belgium. 

The road show shall provide quality information about job opportunities, mobility services and career development for researchers. The themed bus shall be equipped with interactive tools to attract the target audiences. The tour shall start/end in Brussels and cover the following countries.

The bus shall stop at university campuses for minimum 1 and maximum 3 days. The contractor shall propose the best location to host the event. Local contact persons per location will be provided by the European Commission's service. An event (could also be a conference or workshop) shall be organized in each city where the bus stops. For the organization of the event the national/regional EURAXESS Service Centre will be the main contact for the programme and the speakers to be invited. All operational aspects of the local event have to be coordinated with the EURAXESS Service Centre.
